Where does the peplum hem actually end on the body?
It sits just below the waist and flares from there. On the M it measures 24 inches in total length, so it lands around the upper hip on most women.
Can I wear this with a skirt, or only with pants?
Both work. Because the hem flares instead of tucking, it sits neatly over a midi skirt or pencil skirt without bunching.
Will the cable pattern feel scratchy on my neck?
No. It's a soft polyester knit, not wool, so there's no wool itch at the collar or wrists.
How do I keep the peplum from going floppy?
Wash it cold and hang it to dry. Heat from a dryer is what relaxes knit fibers, so skipping the dryer keeps the flare crisp.

How do I start a return or exchange?
Email contact@hartwell-oaks.com with your order number and the items you’d like to return or exchange. We’ll send you a printable UPS return label — pack the items with their tags and drop the parcel at any UPS location.
Is return shipping free?
A return shipping fee applies to standard returns and is deducted from your refund. Returns are free if an item arrived damaged, faulty or incorrect — just send us a photo and we’ll take care of everything.
When will I receive my refund?
Once your return arrives at our warehouse and has been checked, we issue the refund to your original payment method and confirm it by email. Depending on your bank, it can take a few additional business days to appear on your statement.

What if I’m between two sizes?
The Size Assistant tells you when you’re between sizes and which one gives a closer or roomier fit. For coats and jackets you’ll wear over knitwear, we usually recommend the larger size.

Always follow the care label. As a rule: wash gently in cold water or have it dry cleaned, dry knitwear flat, store it folded rather than on a hanger, and let wool rest a day between wears.
