Does this sweater work on its own, or does it need a layer underneath?
It wears well on its own in cool weather. On colder days, a thin long-sleeve tee fits easily underneath thanks to the relaxed cut.
How far do the sleeves come down?
They're a full long sleeve, cut to reach the wrist. The dropped shoulder means the sleeve seam sits a little lower on the arm, which is part of the relaxed look.
Can I dress this up for dinner or work?
Yes. With white or cream trousers and a simple gold-tone necklace it reads polished. With denim it reads weekend.
Will the waffle texture flatten out over time?
The knit is polyester, which holds its structure well. Wash cold and hang dry and the waffle surface keeps its depth.

How do I start a return or exchange?
Email contact@hartwell-oaks.com with your order number and the items you’d like to return or exchange. We’ll send you a printable UPS return label — pack the items with their tags and drop the parcel at any UPS location.
Is return shipping free?
A return shipping fee applies to standard returns and is deducted from your refund. Returns are free if an item arrived damaged, faulty or incorrect — just send us a photo and we’ll take care of everything.
When will I receive my refund?
Once your return arrives at our warehouse and has been checked, we issue the refund to your original payment method and confirm it by email. Depending on your bank, it can take a few additional business days to appear on your statement.

What if I’m between two sizes?
The Size Assistant tells you when you’re between sizes and which one gives a closer or roomier fit. For coats and jackets you’ll wear over knitwear, we usually recommend the larger size.

Always follow the care label. As a rule: wash gently in cold water or have it dry cleaned, dry knitwear flat, store it folded rather than on a hanger, and let wool rest a day between wears.
