Orders are processed in 2–4 business days at our North American warehouse and delivered by UPS in 2–4 business days after dispatch — typically 4–8 business days in total. Shipping is free on every US order.

At the moment we ship within the United States only, including Alaska and Hawaii.

You’ll receive an email with your UPS tracking link as soon as your order ships. You can also check the status anytime in your account.

You have 90 days from delivery to return or exchange unworn items with the original tags attached. Read the full return policy.

Email contact@hartwell-oaks.com with your order number and the items you’d like to return or exchange. We’ll send you a printable UPS return label — pack the items with their tags and drop the parcel at any UPS location.

A return shipping fee applies to standard returns and is deducted from your refund. Returns are free if an item arrived damaged, faulty or incorrect — just send us a photo and we’ll take care of everything.

Once your return arrives at our warehouse and has been checked, we issue the refund to your original payment method and confirm it by email. Depending on your bank, it can take a few additional business days to appear on your statement.

The Size Assistant tells you when you’re between sizes and which one gives a closer or roomier fit. For coats and jackets you’ll wear over knitwear, we usually recommend the larger size.

All clothing is sized in US sizes. For shoes, the Size Assistant converts your usual US, EU or UK size — or your foot length — into the right size for each style.

Every piece is designed in our studio at 6017 Patton St in Uptown New Orleans and ships from our warehouse in North America.

Always follow the care label. As a rule: wash gently in cold water or have it dry cleaned, dry knitwear flat, store it folded rather than on a hanger, and let wool rest a day between wears.
