How tall is the heel, really?
It's a tall chunky heel set on a platform. Because the front is lifted too, the slope from heel to toe is shallower than the height suggests — so it walks easier than it looks.
Can I wear these with thick socks or tights?
Tights and thin socks fit comfortably. The ankle is cut narrow for a sharp shape, so skip the heavy wool socks and size up a half step if you want the extra room.
Is the side zip on the inside or outside?
The zip runs up the inner ankle, where it stays hidden when you walk. It's a full-length zip, so you're in and out in seconds.
Will the sole grip on wet sidewalks?
The sole is rubber with a flat, wide footprint. It holds better on smooth or damp pavement than a thin, narrow heel does.

Email contact@hartwell-oaks.com with your order number and the items you’d like to return or exchange. We’ll send you a printable UPS return label — pack the items with their tags and drop the parcel at any UPS location.
Is return shipping free?
A return shipping fee applies to standard returns and is deducted from your refund. Returns are free if an item arrived damaged, faulty or incorrect — just send us a photo and we’ll take care of everything.
When will I receive my refund?
Once your return arrives at our warehouse and has been checked, we issue the refund to your original payment method and confirm it by email. Depending on your bank, it can take a few additional business days to appear on your statement.
