It's a soft knit hood, so it sits flat against your back when it's down. It's there when you want it, out of the way when you don't.
Can I wear this outside the house, or is it a lounge piece?
It reads as a cardigan, not a hoodie. Worn over a blouse or a tee with jeans or trousers, it looks intentional — not like you're in your pajamas.
Is there a closure, or does it hang open?
It's an open-front style with no buttons or zipper. That's what makes it easy to throw on and easy to layer over anything.
What should I do if I'm between two sizes?

How do I start a return or exchange?
Email contact@hartwell-oaks.com with your order number and the items you’d like to return or exchange. We’ll send you a printable UPS return label — pack the items with their tags and drop the parcel at any UPS location.
Is return shipping free?
A return shipping fee applies to standard returns and is deducted from your refund. Returns are free if an item arrived damaged, faulty or incorrect — just send us a photo and we’ll take care of everything.
When will I receive my refund?
Once your return arrives at our warehouse and has been checked, we issue the refund to your original payment method and confirm it by email. Depending on your bank, it can take a few additional business days to appear on your statement.

What if I’m between two sizes?
The Size Assistant tells you when you’re between sizes and which one gives a closer or roomier fit. For coats and jackets you’ll wear over knitwear, we usually recommend the larger size.

Always follow the care label. As a rule: wash gently in cold water or have it dry cleaned, dry knitwear flat, store it folded rather than on a hanger, and let wool rest a day between wears.
