Can I wear these on their own, like leggings?
Yes. The fleece lining is full coverage, so they work as a standalone layer under a tunic, sweater dress, or long top. Under a short skirt, they read more like sheer tights.
Does the fleece make them itchy?
No. The lining is a soft brushed polyester, not wool, so there's no scratch against bare skin. Most people put them on and forget they're lined.
Will the shade look the same on the leg as in the photo?
The four shades run from light to deep, so pick the one closest to your own tone rather than the lightest. On the leg they read softer and more skin-like than they do flat in a photo.
Do they pill after a few washes?
Not if you wash them cold and hang them dry. Heat from the dryer is what breaks down the fleece over time.

How do I start a return or exchange?
Email contact@hartwell-oaks.com with your order number and the items you’d like to return or exchange. We’ll send you a printable UPS return label — pack the items with their tags and drop the parcel at any UPS location.
Is return shipping free?
A return shipping fee applies to standard returns and is deducted from your refund. Returns are free if an item arrived damaged, faulty or incorrect — just send us a photo and we’ll take care of everything.
When will I receive my refund?
Once your return arrives at our warehouse and has been checked, we issue the refund to your original payment method and confirm it by email. Depending on your bank, it can take a few additional business days to appear on your statement.

What if I’m between two sizes?

Always follow the care label. As a rule: wash gently in cold water or have it dry cleaned, dry knitwear flat, store it folded rather than on a hanger, and let wool rest a day between wears.
