The padding sits flat inside the shoulder panel, so it shapes the line rather than adding width. On a shorter frame it reads sharp, not football-player.
How short is "short" — where does it actually end?
Body length runs 21.5 inches at M up to 26.5 inches at 6XL. On most women that lands right at the natural waist, above the hip.
Can I wear this over a sweater?

Email contact@hartwell-oaks.com with your order number and the items you’d like to return or exchange. We’ll send you a printable UPS return label — pack the items with their tags and drop the parcel at any UPS location.
Is return shipping free?
A return shipping fee applies to standard returns and is deducted from your refund. Returns are free if an item arrived damaged, faulty or incorrect — just send us a photo and we’ll take care of everything.
When will I receive my refund?
Once your return arrives at our warehouse and has been checked, we issue the refund to your original payment method and confirm it by email. Depending on your bank, it can take a few additional business days to appear on your statement.
