Do these wrinkle when you sit for a long time?
The polyester weave releases most creases on its own once you stand up. A quick shake out is usually all they need after a long drive or meeting.
Are the pleats sewn down or do they open up?
They're stitched at the waist and then released, so the fabric falls free from the hip down. That's what creates the soft drape instead of a stiff front.
Can I wear these with flats?
Yes. The length is made for a low heel or a platform sandal, so with flats they'll graze the floor. If you prefer a shorter break, a small hem takes care of it.
Do they have pockets?
No — the front is kept clean so the pleats lie flat and the line stays smooth from waist to floor.

How do I start a return or exchange?
Email contact@hartwell-oaks.com with your order number and the items you’d like to return or exchange. We’ll send you a printable UPS return label — pack the items with their tags and drop the parcel at any UPS location.
Is return shipping free?
A return shipping fee applies to standard returns and is deducted from your refund. Returns are free if an item arrived damaged, faulty or incorrect — just send us a photo and we’ll take care of everything.
When will I receive my refund?
Once your return arrives at our warehouse and has been checked, we issue the refund to your original payment method and confirm it by email. Depending on your bank, it can take a few additional business days to appear on your statement.

What if I’m between two sizes?
The Size Assistant tells you when you’re between sizes and which one gives a closer or roomier fit. For coats and jackets you’ll wear over knitwear, we usually recommend the larger size.

Always follow the care label. As a rule: wash gently in cold water or have it dry cleaned, dry knitwear flat, store it folded rather than on a hanger, and let wool rest a day between wears.
