Does it cover the door handle?
No — it fits around it. You smooth the cover into place and leave the handle clear so the door still opens and closes normally.
Can I still open and close the door?
Yes. The cover sits on the face of the door and moves with it. Nothing blocks the hinges or the latch.
Will packaging creases show?
Most settle within a few hours once it's hanging. You can also smooth it flat by hand, and the printed design hides light creasing well.
Is it suitable for an outside door?
It's best on a sheltered entrance, like a covered porch or a hallway door. Polyester isn't waterproof, so heavy rain or snow directly on it is not recommended.
How to use
- Step 1: Unfold the cover and lay it flat for a few minutes so the creases relax.
- Step 2: Place the top edge over the top of the door and let the panel hang down.
- Step 3: Smooth it flat with your hands, working from the top down and around the handle.

How do I start a return or exchange?
Email contact@hartwell-oaks.com with your order number and the items you’d like to return or exchange. We’ll send you a printable UPS return label — pack the items with their tags and drop the parcel at any UPS location.
Is return shipping free?
A return shipping fee applies to standard returns and is deducted from your refund. Returns are free if an item arrived damaged, faulty or incorrect — just send us a photo and we’ll take care of everything.
When will I receive my refund?
Once your return arrives at our warehouse and has been checked, we issue the refund to your original payment method and confirm it by email. Depending on your bank, it can take a few additional business days to appear on your statement.

What if I’m between two sizes?
The Size Assistant tells you when you’re between sizes and which one gives a closer or roomier fit. For coats and jackets you’ll wear over knitwear, we usually recommend the larger size.

Always follow the care label. As a rule: wash gently in cold water or have it dry cleaned, dry knitwear flat, store it folded rather than on a hanger, and let wool rest a day between wears.
