Will it stay put on tile or sealed hardwood?
Yes. The dotted backing grips smooth, hard, clean floors. Just make sure the floor is dry and free of dust when you lay it down — the dots need a clean surface to hold.
Can I put it in the dryer?
Skip the dryer. Lay it flat or hang it to dry. High heat can harden the backing dots over time and shorten the grip
Does it curl up at the edges?
The edges are overlocked, which keeps them flat and stops fraying. If it arrives with a slight roll from packaging, lay it flat for a day and it settles.
Is it safe to vacuum?
Yes. Use a low setting or the upholstery attachment. Skip the beater bar so the velvet surface keeps its softness.

How do I start a return or exchange?
Email contact@hartwell-oaks.com with your order number and the items you’d like to return or exchange. We’ll send you a printable UPS return label — pack the items with their tags and drop the parcel at any UPS location.
Is return shipping free?
A return shipping fee applies to standard returns and is deducted from your refund. Returns are free if an item arrived damaged, faulty or incorrect — just send us a photo and we’ll take care of everything.
When will I receive my refund?
Once your return arrives at our warehouse and has been checked, we issue the refund to your original payment method and confirm it by email. Depending on your bank, it can take a few additional business days to appear on your statement.

What if I’m between two sizes?
The Size Assistant tells you when you’re between sizes and which one gives a closer or roomier fit. For coats and jackets you’ll wear over knitwear, we usually recommend the larger size.

All clothing is sized in US sizes. For shoes, the Size Assistant converts your usual US, EU or UK size — or your foot length — into the right size for each style.
