Do I need to buy a duvet insert separately?
Yes. Gridfolia is a cover, so it goes over the duvet or comforter you already own. Slide yours in, tie the four corners, and zip it closed.
How do I know which colorway goes with my room?
Look at the two things you can't change: your headboard and your floor. Pick the colorway closest to those tones, and the print reads as part of the room instead of fighting it.
Will the print fade after a few washes?
Wash it cold with like colors and skip the bleach. The print is set into the fabric, so it holds its tone rather than lifting out over time.
What are the ties on the inside for?
They loop around the corner tabs on your duvet. That's what stops the insert from drifting to one side while you sleep.
How to use
- Step 1: Turn the cover inside out and lay it flat on the bed.
- Step 2: Tie the four inside corner ties to the loops on your duvet.
- Step 3: Pull the cover right side out over the duvet and shake it down. Takes about 1–2 minutes.
- Step 4: Zip the bottom edge closed and smooth the top flat.

How do I start a return or exchange?
Email contact@hartwell-oaks.com with your order number and the items you’d like to return or exchange. We’ll send you a printable UPS return label — pack the items with their tags and drop the parcel at any UPS location.
Is return shipping free?
A return shipping fee applies to standard returns and is deducted from your refund. Returns are free if an item arrived damaged, faulty or incorrect — just send us a photo and we’ll take care of everything.
When will I receive my refund?
Once your return arrives at our warehouse and has been checked, we issue the refund to your original payment method and confirm it by email. Depending on your bank, it can take a few additional business days to appear on your statement.

What if I’m between two sizes?
The Size Assistant tells you when you’re between sizes and which one gives a closer or roomier fit. For coats and jackets you’ll wear over knitwear, we usually recommend the larger size.

All clothing is sized in US sizes. For shoes, the Size Assistant converts your usual US, EU or UK size — or your foot length — into the right size for each style.

Always follow the care label. As a rule: wash gently in cold water or have it dry cleaned, dry knitwear flat, store it folded rather than on a hanger, and let wool rest a day between wears.
