Can I wear these indoors without overheating?
The fleece is a thin brushed layer, not a thick thermal pad. Most people wear them comfortably from a cold car into a heated room.
Will the fleece lining feel scratchy against my skin?
No. The inside is brushed soft, so it feels smooth against the leg rather than rough or stiff.
Do they work with ankle boots?
Yes. The leg tapers to the ankle, so they slide into boots without bunching at the shaft.
How should I pick my size?
Use the waist and hip measurements in the size chart rather than your usual jean number. If you fall between two sizes, take the larger one.

How do I start a return or exchange?
Email contact@hartwell-oaks.com with your order number and the items you’d like to return or exchange. We’ll send you a printable UPS return label — pack the items with their tags and drop the parcel at any UPS location.
Is return shipping free?
A return shipping fee applies to standard returns and is deducted from your refund. Returns are free if an item arrived damaged, faulty or incorrect — just send us a photo and we’ll take care of everything.
When will I receive my refund?
Once your return arrives at our warehouse and has been checked, we issue the refund to your original payment method and confirm it by email. Depending on your bank, it can take a few additional business days to appear on your statement.

What if I’m between two sizes?
The Size Assistant tells you when you’re between sizes and which one gives a closer or roomier fit. For coats and jackets you’ll wear over knitwear, we usually recommend the larger size.
Which size system do you use?
All clothing is sized in US sizes. For shoes, the Size Assistant converts your usual US, EU or UK size — or your foot length — into the right size for each style.

Always follow the care label. As a rule: wash gently in cold water or have it dry cleaned, dry knitwear flat, store it folded rather than on a hanger, and let wool rest a day between wears.
