Can I wear a bra with the batwing sleeves and ruched bodice?
Yes. The bodice is opaque and the shoulders are covered, so a regular or strapless bra works fine. Many women find a smooth-cup bra sits best under the gathered fabric.
Will the ruching stay gathered after I sit down all evening?
It will. The gathers are sewn in, not pressed in, so they hold their shape through dinner and dancing. A quick smooth-down with your hand is all it needs.
Does it need to be hemmed if I'm wearing flats?
It's cut floor-length, so at 5'4" and under you'll likely want a heel or a short hem. Try it on with the shoes you plan to wear before the event to check where it lands.
How do I pack it for travel without creasing?
Fold it loosely along the seams and hang it in the bathroom during a hot shower. The polyester relaxes out of soft creases in about 10 minutes.

How do I start a return or exchange?
Email contact@hartwell-oaks.com with your order number and the items you’d like to return or exchange. We’ll send you a printable UPS return label — pack the items with their tags and drop the parcel at any UPS location.
Is return shipping free?
A return shipping fee applies to standard returns and is deducted from your refund. Returns are free if an item arrived damaged, faulty or incorrect — just send us a photo and we’ll take care of everything.
When will I receive my refund?
Once your return arrives at our warehouse and has been checked, we issue the refund to your original payment method and confirm it by email. Depending on your bank, it can take a few additional business days to appear on your statement.

What if I’m between two sizes?
