Does the V-neck sit too low?
No. It's a soft, shallow V that opens the neckline without showing anything. It sits comfortably over a tank or camisole if you want a layer underneath.
Will the split hem look strange over leggings?
It works with both. The split sits at the side and lets the hem move, so it drapes over leggings instead of pulling flat across the hip.
Can I wear this on its own or does it need a layer?
On its own is fine. The polyester knit traps warmth close to the body, so most people wear it with just a tee or nothing underneath indoors.
Does the fabric pill after a few washes?
Wash it cold and hang it dry and the surface stays smooth. Skipping the dryer is the main thing that keeps the knit looking new.

How do I start a return or exchange?
Email contact@hartwell-oaks.com with your order number and the items you’d like to return or exchange. We’ll send you a printable UPS return label — pack the items with their tags and drop the parcel at any UPS location.
Is return shipping free?
A return shipping fee applies to standard returns and is deducted from your refund. Returns are free if an item arrived damaged, faulty or incorrect — just send us a photo and we’ll take care of everything.
When will I receive my refund?
Once your return arrives at our warehouse and has been checked, we issue the refund to your original payment method and confirm it by email. Depending on your bank, it can take a few additional business days to appear on your statement.

What if I’m between two sizes?
The Size Assistant tells you when you’re between sizes and which one gives a closer or roomier fit. For coats and jackets you’ll wear over knitwear, we usually recommend the larger size.

All clothing is sized in US sizes. For shoes, the Size Assistant converts your usual US, EU or UK size — or your foot length — into the right size for each style.

Always follow the care label. As a rule: wash gently in cold water or have it dry cleaned, dry knitwear flat, store it folded rather than on a hanger, and let wool rest a day between wears.
