Can I wear thick socks with these?
Yes. The fur lining is soft and gives a little as you wear them. If you plan to wear heavy winter socks every day, go up half a size.
How tall are they on my leg?
They sit high on the calf for most wearers. The shaft is soft and stays put without feeling tight.
Are they heavy to walk in?
The platform looks chunky but the sole is light. Most people find them easier to walk in than a stiff hiking boot.
Will the fur trim stay neat?
Shake off snow before you come inside and let them dry at room temperature. Fluff the trim with your fingers once dry and it springs back.
How to use
- Measure your foot from heel to longest toe and match it to the size chart.
- Pull the boot on with the shaft slightly folded down, then straighten it up your calf.
- After wet weather, wipe the PU upper with a damp cloth and let them air dry away from direct heat.

Email contact@hartwell-oaks.com with your order number and the items you’d like to return or exchange. We’ll send you a printable UPS return label — pack the items with their tags and drop the parcel at any UPS location.
Is return shipping free?
A return shipping fee applies to standard returns and is deducted from your refund. Returns are free if an item arrived damaged, faulty or incorrect — just send us a photo and we’ll take care of everything.
When will I receive my refund?
Once your return arrives at our warehouse and has been checked, we issue the refund to your original payment method and confirm it by email. Depending on your bank, it can take a few additional business days to appear on your statement.

What if I’m between two sizes?
The Size Assistant tells you when you’re between sizes and which one gives a closer or roomier fit. For coats and jackets you’ll wear over knitwear, we usually recommend the larger size.

All clothing is sized in US sizes. For shoes, the Size Assistant converts your usual US, EU or UK size — or your foot length — into the right size for each style.

Always follow the care label. As a rule: wash gently in cold water or have it dry cleaned, dry knitwear flat, store it folded rather than on a hanger, and let wool rest a day between wears.
